Ancient use of sunflower for Beauty

Types of Sunflower seed oil


Sunflower seed oil has three types/varieties:
·    Linoleic  
·    High oleic
·    Nusun


These three types of sunflower oil are due to different combination of fatty acids (monounsaturated, polyunsaturated and saturated fats).


Polyunsaturated fats contain omega -6 which heals wound rapidly (by developing new cells) and is also good for healthy hair. Monounsaturated sunflower oil contains omega-9 which lessens/ reduces high blood pressure and is a cancer preventing agent.


Phytochemicals


Phytochemicals (vitamin E, phenolic acid, lignans, betaine and choline etc) present in sunflower oil fight against cancer and aging. These chemicals also promote memory and our cardiovascular system.


Conclusion


Sunflower seed oil is actually a naturally occurred organic compound, therefore there are no side effects in using it at all. It has too many benefits for our body, especially for skin.
